This breakfast with Claudie Plen of specialist change consultancy Edge Thinking was one of our busiest so far and attracted considerable interest. Concentrating on how best to work together as a virtual agency on a collaborative footing, she argued that it was more important that partners 'clicked' than shared common skill sets.
When working together, Claudie said that it was important to clearly decide outcomes from the word go, as well as a shared vision and values (taking honest and integrity as read). This also includes dealbreakers.
Other considerations were how to organise a virtual agency and work out a fair money distribution. These were areas the audience were also keen to hear about, asking pertinent questions about who generates the business, how you communicate best practice, what happens when one partner is bigger than the other and how you decide who owns the intellectual property.
